Jesus Rox!!!

The headline on Fox News' website read, "Alabama Governor Apologizes for Controversial Religious Remarks."

Long story short; he apparently "offended" people when he said his true brothers and sisters are other Spirit-filled believers. Here we go again; Christians being made to feel like some sort of dickheads for professing their faith and beliefs. I'm offended that Robert Bentley caved in so quickly, let alone at all. As a veteran of 2 wars - defending America and her way of life - I'm simply disgusted the American public will tolerate an openly Muslim president telling the world that we are no longer a Christian nation. He's not held accountable for that remark? But Governor Bentley is persecuted for his? I'm calling "Bullshit!" Is it any wonder the country and the world is in such a downward spiral? We have taken God out of everything. We're being forced to be tolerant towards peckerhead Muslims. Christians are afraid to tell others what's up.
When you hear the message that "Jesus is Lord," and "The ONLY way to The Father is through Him," you have 3 choices:
1. He's telling the truth.
2. He's lying.
3. He's nuts.
Make a choice. But choose wisely! Don't condemn me for my choice. If you choose option #1, don't be afraid to proclaim that fact to anyone you meet. This guy fought for the freedoms many here in America take for granted. These numbnuts will never stop me from professing my belief in The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Maybe it's because for those of us that fought for it, FREEDOM has a flavor the protected will never know.
It's funny, though, you know. Two thousand years after Christ came to earth, walked among us and began spreading His message, He still intimidates people. I'll continue to pray for the fools. Semper Fidelis! Bubber out.

Conference Championship Football, Good-Bye Gino El Camino and Fast Eddie

I am absolutely ready for some Conference Championship football. Being a Steelers fan, I'm excited for Sunday to get here. There's quite a bit of excitement in our houshold. My better half is a Packers fan; so there's still hope of a Steelers-Packers SB in Dallas. It was GREAT to see the Steelers slap the snot out of the "Raisins" last week. It was even better to see Ray Lewis in a post-game interview near tears after their second-half meltdown. I'm certain Jacinth Baker and Richard Lollar would've enjoyed seeing the Webster-looking Lewis next to tears.
I'm liking the Steelers chances against the Jets. I'm loving how the media "experts" are making such a big deal out of the Jets beating Manning and Brady in back-to-back games. They seem to forget Big Ben guided his team to 2 Super Bowl victories. And as happy as I am to see the Steelers - once again - succeeding in the playoffs, I will say this: I would not have lost a lick of sleep if he had done jail time or if the team sh*t-canned him after what he did to that gal in Georgia.
I also wish to say good-bye to a dear friend: you are already sorely missed, Gino. I'm a better person for having the oppurtunity to know you. Those in this world who did not know you missed out severely. Save me a seat in Heaven. God Bless Ya!
Good-bye and good stinkin' riddance to Slick Eddie Rendell. This morning's local newscasts reported on yesterday's innauguration party for PA's new governor, Tom Corbett. The newscast pointed out - I suppose what they considered to be - highlights of Rendell's eight-year reign. The three they mentioned were:
1. Him being instrumental in bringing casinos to PA
2. Him being instrumental in certain grocery outlets being allowed to sell wine on Sundays.
3. Him being instrumental in banning smoking in restaurants.
Many residents are still waiting to see the reduced property taxes he promised would happen once $$ started flowing in from the casinos. The state controls all liquor sales, so the wine on Sunday was just a revenue-raising scheme on his part. Revenue that has not been used wisely, IMHO. And banning smoking? A highlight? A major accomplishment? PUH-LEASE. No mention of how the yearly budget was always a trainwreck. Just another scumbag politician who figured out how to get fat off the taxpayer. No wonder Nobama gave him serious consideration for a cabinet position.
Enough venting for now. Be Blessed. Semper Fidelis! Bubber out.

13 January 2011

Who Is Bubber?

I'm a 40-something, Christian, conservative white husband, father, son, brother, uncle who considers myself a very patriotic American. Since 1987, I have selflessly served my community and country by working for all levels of government (local, state and federal). I have NEVER been given anything that I did not earn or deserve (good or bad). I have worked (and continue to work) very hard to get to where I am today. I see alot going on in America and the rest of the world that simply sickens me. I'm told blogging is a good outlet for my venting/ranting. If you agree with what I write, fine. If I piss you off, fine. I'm not here to make friends. I already have plenty of them.
I Am a blue-collar regular Joe. I enjoy beef, rock and roll, sports, coffee and reading. I value every second of time with my family. I'm doing my absolute best, daily, to strengthen my relationship with God The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I prefer spending my $$ on American-made products, or - at the very least - on American-owned companies. I feel the current administration in DC is trying it's damndest to destroy everything good in America. No one will convince me otherwise.
I'm looking forward to this oppurtunity to get my thoughts and opinions heard by others. I'm new at this; so please bear with me. I have no plan of attack. i'll likely just write about what's currently going on in the world around me or expounding on some of the things I mentioned above. I welcome all comments / thoughts / feedback (positive or negative). Semper Fidelis, Bubber out!
